I started my dolling career by making prep dolls in dollmakers. First it was just a matter of putting them together, but as time went on I started editing the dolls to make them just right... and then I began dolling.
My position on dollmakers is thus that they can be a good way in for beginning dollers. I understand that many people think they stifle creativity, but in my mind they enhance creativity - like a colouring book for children. Sure, at first it's all just filling in the pictures and trying not to go outside the lines, but as time goes on it might awaken the wish to draw for yourself.
As I said, that's how I think... and thus, I present my dollmaker. Just a small one so far, but if it's well received - well, who knows.
Just remember: Never take my art and claim you made it on your own. Other than that, you can use the art in the dollmaker pretty much however you want. A link back is appreciated but not necessary.
