Dolls I've entered into contests
For a long time, I never entered any contests, but then all of a sudden, my muse decided to cooperate. Then I gathered the courage to start entering pageants, too, and by now I seem to be slightly addicted to them.

Base: Doll on the Hill Factory Contest at: Flawed Perfection Modelling Agency This is Caelin Devine, my character for FPMA Cycle 2. My first pageant ever! I passed the auditions, so let's see how far I can make it. The main challenge as I see it is making a doll for every photoshoot on time. To be more clear: while I of course wish to do my best with the actual contest too, I do feel that finishing dolls on time is most important for me right now. Audition: Casual wear. I'm not entirely happy with her boots, but otherwise, I do like her. Photoshoot 1: outfit from AsiaJam. I had lots of fun composing the outfit. Layers for the win! Photoshoot 2: make an outfit with either leather, lace, or both. I'm not too happy with my attempt at this, but I passed to the next round, at least. Photoshoot 3: make an outfit inspired by fruit. I picked starfruit, and I'm really happy with how it all came together. Photoshoot 4: design a dress/gown inspired by one of the four elements. Each contestant had one element assigned to them, and I got Earth. While at first I was a bit disappointed, since I think that's possibly the most boring element, I do really like how she turned out. The dress, the folds, the patterns... and her hair. I'm really glad I saved letting her hair out for this. | |

Base: Nevermore Contest at: The World of Sissors When I saw this contest, I knew I had to enter. J-pop/Japanese street fashion is always so much fun, and the pictures she picked were not just inspiring, they were slightly crazy. My doll is actually rather clean compared to all the crazy stuff in them. And I'm really happy with how it all came out - her skirt in particular is something I'm happy with. | . |

Message: Hey! Thanks for the comment on my tagboard. I put the dollmaker project on hold for the moment because of school and stuff. There are some major bugs in Internet Explorer and I want to have a better system for people to post their pieces. Until those things are fixed, I don't want to advertise the dollmaker too much, since I know I'll be getting complaints and it would cause problems, so the link is quietly sitting in my news archive. When I have time to fix it (sometime in May), I'll put a more prominent banner on my home page. You're still welcome to add stuff to it if you want though.
