About Me

• I was born the 25th of February, 1986. I was actually calculated to be born 8 days earlier, but I was late - as I still tend to be. Therefore I'm not going to state here how old I am, because it will be sort of embarrassing when I eventually update this page and find out I've been 20 for 5 years.
• I am a girl.
• I wear glasses, because I'm horribly nearsighted.
• I am Swedish through and through - not counting my great great great great great great grandfather, who was English. Born in Sweden to Swedish parents and having lived here all my life, I'm still dark enough that people used to ask me if I was adopted. I'm not, even if my dark hair and eyes may fool some.
• My favourite authors are Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, JRR Tolkien, JK Rowling and Diana Wynne Jones. Yes, I read mostly fantasy.
• I enjoy writing, though I don't yet claim to be a proper writer, as I haven't really finished anything. Still, I participated in NaNoWriMo both '05 and '06. Though I didn't finish either year, I wrote ten times as many words '06 as '05, so if the pattern holds until this year, I'll smash those 50k this year!
• I hang a lot at a writing forum, hoping inspiration will strike through osmosis, or something.
• My username almost everywhere is either Gayahithwen or just Gaya.
